An Ohio woman has been arrested for fatally shooting another woman who was filmed smashing her car windows and throwing rocks at her.

Akira Fletcher, 23, is accused of murdering Nyema Norton, 29, after an altercation in a Cincinnati parking lot.

Fletcher claimed he was acting in self-defense and posted a video on his Facebook account showing the fatal incident.

In the clip taken in late July, Norton and another woman can be seen arguing with Fletcher as she sits inside her vehicle.

“You’re going to jail,” Fletcher says, before seeing Norton throwing an object at him.

“She just threw another rock at me, as you can see,” Fletcher continues in the clip. “She’s slashing my tires, her and her cousin.”

Fletcher also says she has a gun in her purse.

As he narrates, the sound of breaking glass is heard and the camera pans to reveal that the car window has been shattered.

The two women begin to walk away before Fletcher gets out of the car and continues arguing with them.

“You should be happy that they don’t applaud you,” she can be heard saying repeatedly.

Fletcher is then seen getting back into the car and seemingly driving away, just before the clip ends.

In a second clip, Fletcher is seen telling the women “you’re going to jail” and “hit me again” as they approach the broken driver’s side window.

Fletcher then fires a series of shots from his car before the clip ends.

Norton died from her injuries six weeks after the crash, while the other woman survived. Local 12 reported.

“They were hitting me in the face, throwing stones at me and Nyema was trying to get into my car,” he wrote on Facebook.

‘She smashed the driver’s side window to attack me, kept trying to get into my car to stab me, and I let her hit me while I was on the phone with 911 calling for help.

“I told them to stop over and over again. I never got out of my car to fight or anything and I allowed him to hit me more than I…sic) once.’

The women had a history of tension; Norton had previously been accused of pointing a gun at Fletcher and threatening to shoot her in May.

Criminal defense expert Jay Clark said Local 12 who believes the clips are evidence of self-defense by Fletcher.

I’ll be honest with you; I’m a little surprised she was charged, seeing what I see now.

“You can tell she came out and started talking non-stop, but words alone aren’t enough,” Clark said. “(Fletcher) doesn’t pull out the gun and start shooting until she ducks.”

“You saw (Norton) puncture three of your tires, break at least the rear window, that window, at least two, maybe more windows, and now he’s picked up the same heavy object and is heading toward you with it. Was that an honest belief? I think absolutely.

He added that if Fletcher’s tires were flat, he couldn’t leave because Ohio’s self-defense laws mean he doesn’t have to.

He has been charged with aggravated homicide, murder and felonious assault.
