An Illinois woman was arrested after sharing an all-you-can-eat meal with friends.

Applebee’s special offer allows customers to have unlimited amounts of one of three entrées (boneless wings, shrimp or baby back ribs) and fries for $15.99.

But Shawneesha Cobbs of Chicago is accused of gaming the system by paying for two of the specials but sharing them with more than two friends at the table.

A manager at the Applebee’s in Portage, Indiana, explained that each person would have to pay $15.99, but the group disagreed, leading to an argument over the bill.

Police were called to the restaurant around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 2. Local 12 reported.

Dispatch told officers they “heard several women yelling and threatening people,” according to Region News Source.

The group tried to explain to police that it was not clear that each person had to pay individually.

However, officers easily located the bold message on the menu.

Cobbs, 28, soon began behaving in a disorderly manner, ignoring police orders to calm down.

As a result, she was arrested and taken to the Porter County Jail, where she was charged with disorderly conduct.

One member of the group later returned to the restaurant and paid the full bill, according to local news reports.

Applebee’s has joined other fast-casual food outlets in offering cheap deals in an attempt to compete with fast-food chains and lure back customers tired of inflation.

The decision to compete with fast food chains echoes that of Chilli’s, which also recently launched its new ‘Big Smasher’. – a larger version of the Big Mac, which comes with fries and a drink for less than $10.
