A woman wielding a samurai sword savagely murdered one person and injured two others in a brutal attack in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Investigators are still trying to identify what sparked the violence that apparently stemmed from a domestic dispute.
On Thursday afternoon, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a quiet street in San Dimas, where they were greeted by a woman who was covered in blood and holding a samurai sword.
In a video taken by KTLAShe could be seen staggering down the street with the gun in her hand.

He then led officers to a nearby home on the street, where police found a woman suffering from horrific lacerations.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers continued to search the home and found a woman, who “was transported to a local hospital due to a medical emergency,” Lt. Daniel Vizcarra said.
In the images, it appeared that cuts covered the woman’s leg.
From what the deputies could understand, the woman seemed to want to show them the sword.

At this time, detectives are having difficulty continuing their investigation as the women involved only speak Mandarin Chinese.
However, based on the evidence they have gathered, they believe there could be some sort of family connection between the women.
“Preliminary investigation suggests there may be a family connection, but again, due to the language barrier, we have not confirmed that,” Lt. Vizcarra said.
At this time, detectives are having difficulty continuing their investigation as the women involved only speak Mandarin Chinese.
In an effort to facilitate the process, interpreters were sent to the scene of the incident and the hospital to work alongside the detective.
“I’m a little worried because I don’t know what’s going on,” said one local resident. KTLA.
“I’m in shock, surprised,” the resident continued.
“This doesn’t happen in this neighborhood.”
