A Kentucky mother was arrested and later booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail after being accused of attacking a 12-year-old girl at a fall festival.
While waiting in line for a ride at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, Kristin Burnett, 33, of Louisville, allegedly grabbed the young woman by the neck, slammed her against a metal fence and held her there until that the detectives were able to get her out. she out of the child.
The two detectives were said to have been working the Friday night event in Evansville when they witnessed the altercation.
Not long after the scene broke out, Michael Flemming Jr., 33, who shares two children with Burnett, intervened, trying to take her away from detectives, police say.

The disturbing situation allegedly began after the young woman heard Burnett and another woman behind her arguing about the line being cut.
The situation then escalated after the unidentified 12-year-old girl attempted to keep the peace by offering her spot to Burnett, the policy says.
However, the minor thought Burnett didn’t listen to her and says that when he approached her, Burnett assaulted her.
After the arrests, officers noticed redness on the 12-year-old girl’s neck and small lacerations on her face.
Police say she also complained of pain and said she couldn’t feel her nose.
