A woman from Florida who has been in prison since November for murdering her fellow gym member after a bar trip could be released after lowering her indictment.
Yvonne Serrano, 51, appeared in Broward County Court on Wednesday and asked a judge to guarantee her release more than three months after she was arrested for the shooting by 21-year-old Daniela Tabares.
Tabares was found dead in the Serrano driveway in Coral Springs, hanging from a car with a shot on her head.

Serrano’s lawyers defended before the court that she is entitled to a bond, as prosecutors have reduced her original indictment of murder in the second degree to manslaughter in the second degree, which can be punished for up to 30 years in prison.
According to a statement announcing the decision in December 2019, the Broward State Attorney office reviewed all available evidence before the least homicide was reported with firearms burden, along with two counts of evidence tampering Sun Sentinel.
If Serrano had been charged and convicted of murder, she could have had life in prison.

Serrano is back in court on March 12, when the judge is expected to make a decision about her release.
When released, Serrano is under house arrest and has to wear a device that detects alcohol consumption.
The lovers of Tabares were vocal in their opposition to the release of Serrano. Last week, a group of 50 people filed a protest calling for her to be held in jail awaiting trial.
In interviews with the Sun Sentinel last week, fellow members of the Serrano and Tabares gym, Training For Warriors, described the suspect, a military wife and mother of adult children, as “intense” and a “loner” who did not fit into the close and supportive community of fitness enthusiasts.
On the evening of November 22, 2019, a large group of people from the gym, including Serrano and Tabares, had gone to Silverspot Cinema to watch the drama 21 Bridges before they all went to the World of Beer pub, a certified statement from DailyMail. com said.

Serrano and Tabares were filmed by surveillance cameras that left the pub together and showed further footage that they were entering the Serrano driveway at 2 am.
On November 23 at 5.55 am Tabares was found dead on the site of Serrano.
Serrano called the police to say there was a dead woman in front of her house in Coral Springs. She initially claimed that she did not know Tabares, but later admitted that she did.

When detectives arrived later in the morning, Serrano said she had left the house in the 1600 block of Northwest 100th Drive in Maplewood Isles to go to the gym, but called the police “immediately” to find the body.
She said she had been “black-out” at World of Beer and had no idea how she got home when she woke up in her bed.
Serrano later reportedly changed her story and told detectives that she woke up sitting on a passenger seat in Tabares’s car.
Researchers discovered that she had recently washed a blood-stained dark tank top and also removed video footage of the Ring filmed on a smart doorbell.
Serrano has a concealed carrying permit and owns three pistols. Two 9mm pistols and a .45 caliber.
She also said the police said she had brought her Sig Sauer P365 to the pub. The gun, which was in Serrano’s bedroom, fires 9 mm rounds.
The shell housing outside the Maya Nissan came from a 9mm round.
Blood was found on the Sig Sauer and its holster, Local10 reported.
