Woman, 41, ‘gets caught hiding $ 58,000 ice cream in her handbag lining’ after police pulled her during a routine traffic stop

- The woman was arrested and refused to appear on bail in Wollongong local court
A female driver is said to have been caught with nearly $ 60,000 worth of ice hidden in her handbag.
Police patrolled King Street in Shellharbour, 20 km south of Wollongong, on Friday, July 10, around 8:00 pm when they saw a woman in a rental car.
The 41-year-old turned into Shellharbour Road before quitting.
Police officers searched her handbag that reportedly found methyl amphetamine hidden in the liner.

The drugs have an estimated potential street value of $ 58,000.
She was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra police station where she was charged with illegal drugs.
The woman was denied bail and has to re-appear in Wollongong local court on Friday.
