A 20-year-old woman was praised for her courage after being dragged by a shark while snorkeling in Queensland.
The commercial diver swam around 6:30 PM on the coast of Cape Grenville off the Cape York peninsula on Sunday, when she was attacked by a supposed tiger shark.
The young woman was brought to the shore by a fishing boat crew and later flown to Cairns Hospital with serious injuries from her ankle to her knee on her right leg.
