He also had law and international degrees of trade.
Detective investigator Chris Ahearn of the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch said they believed that Mr. Braid knew his alleged murderer but ruled out domestic violence.
“It is certainly not a partner or such a situation; our first indications are that they are loosely known to each other – the group, ”he said.
“We think some people came out of that building on the street.
“We talked to them at night … and interviewed all the residents in that apartment building today. ‘
“The weapon was not found, although it appeared to be from a ‘sharp weapon, such as a knife or something similar,’ he said.
Witnesses from a nearby block of flats described how she heard a woman scream and a so-called “argument” before Mr. Braid’s body was found on the sidewalk.

Police will claim that Mr. Braid went to the apartment building to speak to Ms. Anderson and a group of others who had a loose relationship there.
Agents claim they spoke outside after that, before Mr. Braid was attacked.
During the argument, he was reportedly stabbed into the torso once and collapsed on the sidewalk before dying at Gold Coast Hospital.
“They are loosely known to each other, but that will be the focus of our future research,” Dep Inst Ahearn added.
“We have some people who have delivered versions of what happened.”
