‘I’ve had hairy legs since I was seven’: Woman, 20, lashes out at men who hate body hair – and calls on people to ’embrace the fur’

A young woman has lashed out at men who dislike body hair by criticizing their “undesirable opinion” and urging others to “embrace the fur.”
Spencer Barbosa, who is proud to be a body positivity advocate, took to TikTok to share her insight.
The 20-year-old from Ontario said she’s been plagued by body hair since she was seven, but refuses to accept that it’s “unhygienic” or “masculine.”
And dozens of other social media users rushed to shower her with praise and offer their own take on the matter.

The 20-year-old from Ontario said she’s been plagued by body hair since she was seven, but refuses to accept it’s ‘unsanitary’ or ‘masculine’
In the clip, which has been liked more than 245,000 times, Spencer talks directly to the camera as she shares her insight.
She focuses on her legs, stomach, arms, and upper lip first before continuing: “Body hair — let’s talk about it.” So recently on my For You page I’ve seen a lot of men add their unwanted opinions – as always – about women’s bodies.
“Now I’m Portuguese, I’m hairy, I’ll always be hairy because I’ll always be Portuguese.”
Spencer candidly continues, “I’ve had hairy legs since I was seven, I’ve been stealing tweezers from my mom since I was seven to pluck my mustache.
“It wasn’t until this year that I caught myself apologizing for my hairy legs, like why the hell was I apologizing…
“If you want to have hairy legs this summer, have hairy legs this summer, and if you hate hair and you don’t want hair on your body, get rid of the hair on your body.”
‘I don’t find it uncomfortable that you’re hairy. Having body hair is not unhygienic or masculine. It literally grows on your body.’
She concludes by urging others to “embrace the fur” before sticking out her tongue and pretending to lick her arm hair.

And other social media users were quick to comment in support of the sentiment.
One wrote: ‘Hair is literally natural, it will grow.’
Another added, “Bruh hair is fine, all I can say is if you’re annoyed with your hair, you decide what to do with it.” It’s no one else’s business.’
And a third said, “Don’t apologize for having it, just say ‘sorry it’s bothering you’ and just smile.”
