A 20-year-old woman died in the hospital after being run over in horror.

The pedestrian was crossing a road in Waterloo, in western Sydney, at around 2.15pm Thursday when he was hit by a white hatchback, which is believed to be a Kia Rio.

The driver did not stop following the collision.

The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to the Hospital of San Vicente, where she died.

The police are looking for a vision camera that can help with the investigation.
