Wolves captain Ruben Neves ‘set to join Barcelona in swap deal involving Ansu Fati’ despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United
Wolves captain Ruben Neves is set to join Barcelona this summer despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
According sportNeves could be involved in a player swap deal which would see Ansu Fati join Wolves.
Neves, who has been at Wolves since 2017, has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux.
It looks like his destination is Barcelona on a four-year deal, although he’s not Xavi’s first-choice target when it comes to a new midfielder.
Sport say Xavi would prefer to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

20-year-old winger Ansu Fati could head to Wolves as part of Neves deal
Fati, 20, was hugely popular when he broke through at Barcelona but injury has hampered his progress and this season the winger has started just 12 times in the league despite making 36 appearances in total.
Fati, however, finished the season strong by hitting a brace against Mallorca and also finding the net against Celta Vigo.
With Neves unlikely to join, Arsenal should instead focus on other midfield targets such as West Ham’s Declan Rice and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
United are also looking to strengthen in midfield as they aim to rival Manchester City.
