The Connecticut Sun are proving to be fierce competitors this WNBA playoff season; After handily defeating Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever during the first round, they defeated the Minnesota Lynx in the first game of the semifinals with an impressive 73-70 victory. The match was even throughout, with seven ties at various times, but in the end, Sol eclipsed Lince, who made a valiant effort. Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, who had 19 points during the game, narrowly missed a 3-pointer in the final second. Lynx hope to tie things up in Game 2 of the Sun vs. Lynx. That game, which will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, will air on ESPN2 on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET. The game can also be streamed after its conclusion on WNBA League Pass.

Eight teams advanced to the WNBA playoffs, but after the first round, four will advance to the semifinals. They are:

The WNBA playoffs feature a pool of eight teams; Participating teams are decided based on their regular season record. During the first round, games are played in a best-of-three series. The semi-final and final matches are played as a best-of-five series.
