‘Attendances are up, stadiums are sold out and you’re leaving out the player responsible for the success? Bravo,’ said one of them. saying.
The WNBA released a graphic promoting the preseason but it did not include Caitlin Clark.
Clark has drawn millions of viewers to the league and is expected to win Rookie of the Year.
“Every day I learn a little more about why this league has been a complete failure since its inception,” said another aggregate.
“The fact that Clark isn’t on this chart should show everyone that the WNBA is jealous of her success,” a third fan said. intervened.
On Friday, W posted a different promotional graphic that did include Clark, although she was positioned completely to the left and out of focus.
“Seriously Caitlin Clark is behind, she’s worth more than this whole damn league,” said one angry fan commented on its positioning in the image.
“What a joke the WNBA is. Who cares about those other mediocre players? She’s better than all of them combined.”
The W later published another graphic that included Clark, but placed her far to the left.
Clark finished the regular season averaging 19.2 points and 8.4 assists per game for the Fever.
Earlier this week, Clark fans criticized WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes for claiming the Fever guard, who finished the regular season averaging 19.2 points and 8.4 assists, was “not dominating” the league.
Her supporters have also been criticised by Angel Reese, who said some of them have racially abused her.
Clark has had a tremendous debut season, setting the league single-season attendance record and helping lead the Fever to the playoffs.
The Fever were defeated by the Washington Mystics in their final regular season game, but enter the postseason as the No. 6 seed.
