The Ukrainian army released video footage showing an assault unit fighting and seizing territory near the besieged city of Bakhmut.
Camera footage shows the soldiers disembarking from an armored vehicle during clashes with Russian forces.
The Russian military group Wagner announced on Thursday that the Ukrainian forces had made progress on the Bakhmut front.
For his part, the governor of the region, Pavlo Kirilenko, said that the Ukrainian army “has achieved success in the Bakhmut region.”
Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hana Malyar stated that the Ukrainian forces advanced two kilometers in Bakhmut.
