As a result, violent clashes took place in various places in the city of Nablus, during which the Israeli soldiers fired live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens and their homes, killing a young man and injuring others, in addition to 170 others who suffocated with poisonous gas, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Footage posted on social media showed Palestinians throwing stones and other objects at a convoy of military vehicles.
According to the Israeli army, Osama Al-Taweel and Abdel-Kamel Jouri, two members of the “Black’s Den” armed group, based in Nablus, opened fire on Sergeant Ido Baruch of the infantry brigade’s reconnaissance unit, killing him on October 11, 2022.
The Israeli forces had arrested the tall young man on the 13th of last February, and on the 20th of the same month, they raided his family’s house in Al-Muraij Street in Nablus, and took measurements of it, in preparation for its demolition.
