Date:

The house belongs to Khaled Kharousha, a Palestinian who, along with his father Abdel Fattah, is accused by Israel of carrying out a shooting attack that took place in the town of Hawara (north) on February 26, in which two Israelis were killed.

On Monday morning, the Israeli army killed a Palestinian youth during a raid on a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, according to what the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, while the Israeli army said that its members shot suspects.

And the Ministry of Health confirmed, “the death of the young man, Saleh Muhammad Sabra (22 years), after he was hit with live bullets in the chest.”

According to an AFP correspondent, the old Askar camp east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank was raided.

The house of the perpetrator of the Hawara attack was demolished

For its part, the Israeli army said that “suspects fired fireworks, threw stones and explosive devices, and opened fire on soldiers and army vehicles.”

He added in a statement: “The soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and with live ammunition, and one injury was determined.”

According to the army, the military operation in Nablus was carried out to measure the house of a Palestinian accused of carrying out an attack, in preparation for its demolition.

The house belongs to Khaled Kharousha, a Palestinian who, along with his father Abdel Fattah, is accused by Israel of carrying out a shooting attack that took place in the town of Hawara (north) on February 26, in which two Israelis were killed.

The army had killed the father, along with five others, on March 7, in an operation it carried out in the Jenin refugee camp.

The operation in Nablus came the day after the cease-fire agreement between Israel and the armed Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip, which ended five days of escalation.

As a result of the escalation, which coincided with the continuation of the Israeli military operations in the West Bank, 35 people were killed, including 33 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Since the beginning of the year, at least 150 Palestinians, 20 Israelis, a Ukrainian woman and an Italian have been killed in violence related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to a count compiled by AFP based on official Israeli and Palestinian sources.

These figures include fighters and civilians, including minors, from the Palestinian side, and from the Israeli side. Most of the dead are civilians, including minors and three Israeli Arabs.
