Witness: One person was killed and eight others injured when a crane fell on a train in central Taiwan
One person was killed and eight others were hospitalized Wednesday after a train collided with a crane that fell from a nearby construction site on a railway in central Taiwan. The accident occurred near Fenglu Park station in Taichung City at noon local time.
According to local authorities in Taichung City, the crane was removed from the construction site after it caused damage to the rails. City transportation has been suspended pending the investigation into the accident.
