She recently took to the video-sharing platform once again to express the words that “feel so appropriate.”

In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 45,000 times, Ash began: ‘I’m an American in the UK. Here are some words that the British say that seem very elegant.’

The content creator then shared her vision and shared: ‘The first is the holidays. In America we say, “I’m going on vacation.”

‘Here in the UK they say, “I’m going on holiday,” and I have to say I like “holidays” better. It sounds much more elegant.

Passing off a British accent, he said: “II’m going on vacation to my parents’ house in the south of France.”

‘Okay, I know my British accent is horrible, but I like this one. I’ve started saying “vacation” instead of “vacation.”

Ash continued: ‘Next is gasoline. I think this sounds a lot better than saying, “I’m putting gas in my car.”

‘No. “I’m putting gas in my car or in my truck. I’m putting gas in the truck.” Who knew the Brits could find a way to make gas sound fancy?

But the social media star didn’t stop there.

She shared: ‘Okay, last but not least, “stroller.” This is a little extra. I had no idea what they were talking about. I thought you meant wheelchair.

‘In America we call a stroller a “stroller,” which I guess isn’t that bad, but “stroller” sounds very (fancy). Do not forget.

And viewers quickly took to the comments section to share their own thoughts on Ash’s vision.

One person wrote: “Why do Americans call it gas when gasoline/diesel is a liquid?”

Another commented: ‘Gas is not a liquid, but oil is. That’s (definitely) a trigger for UK people!’

Someone else wrote: ‘The abbreviated version of Holiday (VAY-KAY) is not as annoying as HOLLY-BOBS. As in ‘Where are you going with your hollybobs?’ Aaarrrgghh!’

“It sounds even fancier when fancy people say ‘we’re going on vacation,'” one person wrote.

Several Britons joined the conversation with their own opinions.

One person wrote: “As a Brit I think holidays sound posh.”

Another person added: ‘I’m British. Unfortunately I still haven’t found a way to move to the United States. I think it’s more the accent that makes things sound classy.

‘I prefer vacations to vacations. I have no preference (over) others.’

A third person commented: ‘It goes both ways. The faucet sounds so fancy compared to the faucet.
