If you constantly misplace your Roku remote, you now have an alternative way to control your movies – directly from your wrist. According to the Roku blog, there is now a free app available for the Apple Watch.
The Roku app is very similar to the iPhone and Android apps. This allows you to launch different Roku-based channels (displayed in the order of the most recently launched), control the cursor on your TV interface, play and pause your video & # 39; s – in other words, work as an efficient remote control.
The new app even allows voice control, so you can start channels or find programs without tapping your screen (as long as you use an Apple Watch Series 1 to 5 – it apparently doesn't work with the watch from the first generation). And if you prefer to use the actual remote control, but you can't remember where you placed it, the app creates the external signal so you can find it.
The new Roku app for the Apple Watch can be installed from today updated iPhone app, version 6.1.3. (Note: Roku says you may need to install manually from the Watch app if automatic installations are disabled.)
