A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a pensioner in the neck with a syringe.
The incident between two men believed to know each other happened just after lunchtime yesterday on Constitution Road in Windsor, northwest of Sydney.
The two men allegedly had a fight before the 40-year-old man from Albion stabbed a 67-year-old in the neck with a syringe.
The alleged assailant then chased the older man with the syringe before two passing off-duty officers intervened and arrested him.
The Windsor pensioner was transported to Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in stable condition.
The 40-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
