WhatsApp has been working on several new features across platforms. The Meta-owned platform has now started testing a new crop tool for the Drawing Editor option Windows. The feature allows users to crop photos within the app or while sharing an image through the Windows version of the app, according to WABetaInfo.
The feature is currently available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Windows and is currently only available to select beta testers at Microsoft Store. Also, the feature has been found in WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2321.3.0 according to the report.

As mentioned earlier, the feature allows users to crop images using the app. This eliminates the need for an external app or tool for users. Previously, users were forced to use an external image editing tool such as Microsoft Photos app or any other online cropping tool to edit a photo before sharing it on WhatsApp. Now the feature is built right into the app and users can crop the image in real time while sharing the images.
It is recalled that the drawing editor crop tool is available to selected beta testers with WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2321.3.0. To try out the new cropping tool, download and install the update from the Microsoft Store. We expect WhatsApp to expand this feature to more beta users in the coming weeks.
