The Prince and Princess of Wales remain Britain’s most-loved royals, while disgraced Prince Andrew and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are the least-favoured by the public, a new poll has revealed.

A new YouGov poll released today found that 75 per cent of people have a favourable view of William and Kate.

Princess Anne is the only other royal to maintain a similarly high popularity rating: 71 percent (or seven in ten respondents) view her favorably.

William’s younger brother Harry and his wife Meghan are apparently not highly regarded by the British public: sixty percent have expressed unfavorable opinions of Harry and 63 percent of Meghan.

But Andrew remains the least popular of all the royals: 87 percent of Britons say they have a negative opinion of him and just 5 percent view him positively.

Three-quarters of Britons have a positive view of William and Kate, a poll released this month found.

The future king is the favourite, with 75 per cent of respondents expressing positive opinions of him. He beat Kate by one point, with 74 per cent having positive opinions of her.

But the Princess of Wales was the one who had the most “very positive” opinions of her: 45 percent. Forty percent of those surveyed said they had a “very positive” opinion of William and Anne.

Only three in ten Britons, or about 30 percent, have a positive view of Harry and even fewer of Meghan: just 23 percent say they view her favorably.

King Charles III, who is approaching two years on the throne, has the support of six in ten Britons (about 63 percent), while 29 percent say they have a negative opinion of the monarch. Overall, the King has an approval rating of +34, the poll found.

Young adults, aged 18 to 24, do not appear to have a very positive opinion of the monarch, with only 23 per cent of them having a positive opinion of him. The majority of the group, 53 per cent, say they have a negative opinion of Charles.

Between 38 and 52 percent of Britons see Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh positively. However, between 37 and 41 percent have no opinion on the matter or say they “don’t know.”

Prince Edward has a similar favorability rating, with 53 percent saying he views it favorably, but many are also unsure (28 percent).

Queen Camilla is favoured by around half of the British public (49 per cent), while 38 per cent – ​​or one in four – view her negatively.

Despite differing opinions about individual members of the family, the British public apparently still supports the monarchy.

Sixty-three percent say they have a positive view of the royal family as a whole and 59 percent view the underlying institution of the monarchy favorably.

This is roughly double the number of Britons who view family negatively (30 percent) and who are sceptical of the monarchy (32 percent).

Two-thirds of Britons say they believe the UK should continue to have a monarch, while 25 percent say they would prefer an elected head of state.
