The Sussexes, who currently have 11.3 million followers, initially experienced a surge of followers after their last week of royal duties this month, attending the Endeavor Awards, the Mountbatten Festival of Music and the Commonwealth Day Service.

Meghan and Harry were also seen at the Queen’s divine service and visiting The National Theater and Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham.

The couple apparently took a tearful farewell to their staff over an intimate dinner, and Meghan has returned to Canada to be with baby Archie.

The Kensington Royal account receives an average of 300,000 likes for their posts, with statement posts including Kate Middleton’s birthday generating 1.2 million likes.

Meanwhile, Sussex Royal is getting a similar average, but their recent post announcing that they would be stepping down collected nearly 2 million likes from support fans.

While William and Kate’s account follows just under 100 people, Harry and Meghan follow new accounts every month to highlight charities – this month after just one account promoting positive news.

In January, the Duke of Sussex said he “took a leap of faith” by stepping back from his life as a member of the royal family, but “there really was no other option”.

Harry delivered an emotional speech, telling the “truth” about leaving royal duties behind in an attempt to create a “more peaceful life” for his family.

Starting in the spring, the Duke and Duchess stop using HRH, spend most of their time in Canada, and pay back the tax money they spent renovating their Frogmore home.

Speaking to a private event for his charity Sentebale on Sunday evening, Harry told invitees, “What I want to make clear is that we don’t run away and we certainly don’t run away from you.

“Our hope was to continue to serve the Queen, the Commonwealth and my military associations, but without public funding. Unfortunately that was not possible.

“I accepted this, knowing that it doesn’t change who I am or how committed I am.

“But I hope it helps you understand where it came from, that I would take my family a step back from everything I’ve ever known, to take a step forward in what I hope can be a more peaceful life . ”
