The 55-year-old actor teased the former NFL QB on Instagram with his team after the race.

Tom Brady doesn’t often lose in sports, but Will Smith made sure to share the retired quarterback’s latest rare defeat with the world after his Serie A1 victory in Italy.

The 55-year-old actor took to social media to poke fun at his boat racing rival on Saturday as his team, ‘Westbrook Racing’, edged out Team Brady and Team Rafa despite the NFL and tennis star’s boats coming in first and second in the standings 24 hours earlier.

“We won! Sorry @tombrady. My bad,” Smith wrote in his Instagram post, in which he criticized Brady.

“You know what, it’s a wonderful thing, I spoke to Tom Brady just before the race… I’m a little kid here,” added the Oscar winner as he celebrated with his team on the docks of Lake Como.

Brady later responded in the comments under Smith’s post: “Until next time. Happy for you! Enjoy it while it lasts because we’re coming for your ass.”

Brady is believed not to have attended the event.

Swapping California for Como, Saturday’s race marked the first time Smith came out to support this team, joking after the race that he’ll have to turn to all of them in the future.

“I FaceTimed Tom Brady right before the race and told him I spent my entire childhood with him beating my team, and I was like, ‘That’s not going to happen here today,'” Smith said despite being technically eight years older than the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

“It’s so much fun, the energy, the people and all the teams. I love it, we’re having a great time.”

For now, Team Brady remains at the top of the championship standings, while Westbrook Racing is in second place, followed by Team Miami. Team Rafa is in fourth place.

The Lake Como E1 GP marked the second edition of the championship in Italy, giving a motorsport-obsessed nation a fresh glimpse into the future of racing.

Rodi Basso, CEO and co-founder of E1, said: ‘From having two of the world’s biggest superstars, Will Smith and Rafa Nadal, here, to our stunning setting of the world-famous Villa d’Este hotel, to an unpredictable race weekend, no one in the world is doing what E1 is doing right now.

“Lake Como, a true Italian wonder, has been the most beautiful setting for this event. The weekend has been electrifying, with dangers at every turn. We are creating a new sport that continues to surprise and excite, and believe us, this is just the beginning.”

The next E1 Series race has not yet been confirmed. Earlier this year, races were held in Jeddah, Venice, Marbella and Monaco.
