Investors are flocking to the US stock market as stock prices continue to rise, fueled by hopes of a rate cut.

Some of the Magnificent Seven stocks continue to lead the way, with AI expert chip designer NVIDIA posting a scorching 85 percent return this year and Meta up 51 percent.

This has led to UK investors once again largely shunning their home market and chasing US shares instead.

But if the Federal Reserve doesn’t cut rates, will investors be disappointed?

And with the recent rise in UK share prices pushing the FTSE 100 close to its all-time high, is the UK stock market finally starting to become a little more popular?

In this episode of the Investing Show, Simon Lambert from This is Money joins Richard Hunter from Interactive Investor to look at how the markets have performed this year and what could happen next.

They discuss the performance of the major stock markets in the US and UK, whether the Magnificent Seven is at risk of becoming a Famous Five, if Tesla and Apple slip up, and whether the catalyst that UK shares need for a rebound has finally arrived in the form of takeover bids that attract investor interest.
