The 49-year-old singer (born William James Adams Jr.), who was embroiled in a legal battle over a hit song, was announced on the billboard for an event called LA Check In.

The event was announced by D-Nice, and the line-up also includes DJ Meka Lolita, Etienne Maurice and more on their Instagram.

The event will be streamed live from Will.I.Am’s FYI studios with support from the Annenberg Foundation, Will.I.Am’s I.Am Angel Foundation and WalkGood LA.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 16 and will be streamed live on D-Nice’s Instagram and Will.I.Am YouTube Channel.

‘My friends!! Join me TOMORROW at 6pm for the first night of LA CHECK IN: inspiration and information to support Los Angeles fire victims and first responders,” D-Nice said in his Instagram post.

“I’ll be LIVE from the will.i.am studios FYI with @djhed, beats and a roster of resilient Angelenos sharing stories of hope and resources,” he added.

He also encouraged his 3.2 million followers to “CHECK OUT on Instagram Live or Will.I.Am’s YouTube channel.”

The event is said to be in the same vein as D-Nice’s beloved Club Quarantine, the virtual dance parties he hosted on Instagram Live during the COVID-19 shutdown.

The Annenberg Foundation website added that the event is “a livestream benefit supporting individuals and organizations affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.”

The event will feature live DJ sets from D-Nice and DJ Hed, described as “uplifting and soulful sets designed to inspire and connect.”

Maurice will also be joined by “local heroes” who will provide “first-hand accounts of resilience during and after the bushfires”.

The event will also offer viewers the chance to donate funds to support the recovery efforts of first responders, evacuees and displaced workers.

Celebrities such as Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their homes in the Palisades fire.

The Los Angeles Police Department also announced Wednesday that it arrested two more arson suspects, bringing the total of arrests related to the fires to 60, on charges including arson, siren robbery and more.
