The driver of the Mercedes crashed into his car during a strange fight in broad daylight.

Wild footage captured the moment a Mercedes driver and a man with a mullet began fighting in the middle of a busy road on the Gold Coast.

The bizarre road rage incident was filmed at an intersection near Somerset Drive, in Mudgeeraba, at 3.30pm on Christmas Eve.

In the video, the two men are seen getting out of their vehicles at a traffic light after the man with the mullet overtook and overtook the Mercedes.

After one of the men pushed the other in the chest, the pair exchanged punches and kicks before the driver of the Mercedes crashed into their car.

Drivers traveling behind the couple stopped as the men spun in circles trying to free themselves from each other’s grip.

The men continued to push each other for more than a minute until a third man, wearing a Street Fighter t-shirt, intervened and forced them back into their vehicles.

The mullet-haired motorist was seen casually running back to his ute and driving away, allowing the flow of traffic to resume on the busy road.

Spectators saw the funniest side of the altercation.

“They wanted to hug more than fight,” one person wrote.

Others praised the spectator who was forced to break up the fight.

“Good for the guy who broke this, but he could have ended up being the victim there,” a second person commented.

“Lmao with the Street Fighter t-shirt,” a third wrote.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that police have been unaware of the incident.

“Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to report it to police,” the spokesperson said.
