To his surprise, he found a female opossum stuck on the roof after being killed by the snake.
A snake catcher faced a tough test trying to remove a large carpet python (pictured) from the roof of a Brisbane home.
As Steph began to pull the possum out of the ceiling in an attempt to remove the snake, she discovered the animal’s baby.
The homeowner gasped as the baby animal lay limp in Steph’s hands.
He continued to tear off more parts of the ceiling while the possum’s leg continued to hang from the ceiling.
“Oh, that’s huge,” the hostess whispered softly.
Finally, Steph managed to create enough space on the roof and successfully removed the huge snake.
After removing various parts of the roof, Steph the snake catcher discovered a possum wedged inside the roof along with the python (pictured) before finally untangling the reptile from the roof.
Then, the possum landed on the ground with a loud thud.
“Oh my God, sir,” exclaimed the owner of the house.
Steph untangled the python as the shocked owner and his daughter watched in horror.
Steph then placed the snake inside a large beige bag before putting the possum inside.
The python was later released into the wild.
