A motorcyclist was filmed throwing himself onto the bonnet of a moving car and headbutting the window in an attempt to stop the other driver from driving away in a shocking road rage incident.
It is unclear what sparked the bizarre confrontation between the motorcyclist and the driver of a white hatchback in Canberra this week.
A nearby resident managed to film the encounter which showed the motorcyclist parking his motorcycle in front of the hatchback which was waiting to turn right at an intersection.
“You’re not going anywhere,” the motorcyclist shouted as the car began to reverse.
The motorcyclist then jumped onto the hood of the car.
The driver then leaned forward, causing the motorcyclist to hit his head against the windshield.
They then pushed him off the hood, but in the process ripped off the tailgate’s side mirror.
The white car drove away as the man tried, unsuccessfully, to stick his head through the front passenger window.

The footage ends with the man getting on his bike and riding away.
The video was shared on a local Canberra Facebook page and many were left shocked by the aggressive encounter.
“It doesn’t matter who is to blame, we can’t go on like this,” one person commented.
‘The number plate on that bike is all the police need to go and talk to him… and I hope they do.’
However, many wondered what sparked the incident.
“The biker’s reaction was horrifying, but I bet what we don’t see is even worse: the driver of the car clearly did something wrong to provoke such a response,” one person wrote.
The motorcyclist headbutted the passenger side window of the car hard but failed to break it in the shocking encounter this week.
