Security camera footage has revealed a tourist was attacked from behind and stabbed by a woman near a popular bar in Bali after a “one-night stand” took a disastrous turn.

The incident occurred near the Sandbar restaurant and pub on the resort island.

Images of the incident, which apparently occurred overnight, were captured by cameras in a nearby building.

The clip was later uploaded to Instagram by Italian comedian Christian Giacobbe.

The video shows the man, who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts and carrying a bag, walking back to his villa.

The woman, who was seen riding a motorcycle, approached the man from behind and allegedly stabbed him in the back with what appeared to be a knife.

Unaware that the object was stuck to his back, the man continued walking down the street as the woman rode away on the motorcycle.

The video uploaded to social media shows the man lying face down in the hospital bed.

Parts of his shirt were covered in blood and the knife, which was wrapped in a white bandage, was firmly lodged in his back.

A hospital worker was caught trying to help the injured man.

According to Giacobbe, the man had met the local girl at the bar.

“They like each other, they start dancing, they start kissing… they go back to their villa and do what they do,” he said.

Mr Giacobbe later claimed the woman became upset after the man asked her to leave a short time later.

She claimed the couple had an argument after the man allegedly refused to pay the woman when she asked him for money after having sex.

The couple are believed to have left the villa before the man helped the woman find the motorbike.

“While he was walking back to his villa, she (allegedly) stabbed him,” Giacobbe said.

The man’s injuries are unknown.

The incident comes after an Australian FIFO worker was repeatedly stabbed while on holiday in Bali in March.

Peter Noel Sidney Nye, 28, suffered serious injuries to his head, face and arms after he and his friend said they were attacked outside a convenience store in Kuta, south of Bali.

His girlfriend claimed Nye was stabbed more than 20 times and said her partner suffered injuries to both arms and his ear.

Indonesia is the second most popular tourist destination for Australian tourists.

According to the latest data, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade processed 401 consular cases in Bali during the financial year 2022-23.
