The moment a disgruntled shopper spilled coffee on $1,000 worth of clothing at a boutique was captured on video.

CCTV from Villains Clothing at Perth’s Westfield Carousel shows a woman with a child, arguing with a retail worker at the counter, before storming out and pouring coffee onto a rack of clothing.

Store owner Paul Clarke told Daily Mail Australia the woman was furious after being denied a refund for a $10 crop top.

“So we have a shelf in the front of our store, it’s $10 and all the stuff on there is $10 for a reason,” he said.

‘So either they have a slight flaw or they have makeup all over them, all that kind of stuff.

‘Our staff member I said sorry, it’s not a refundable item, you can exchange it for something else, butHe wanted the money back.

“He said the top was for his daughter who is in the video.”

Mr Clarke eventually attempted to resolve the complaint over the telephone.

He claims the woman went on a tirade during the conversation.

“I couldn’t say a word, she swore at me and threw the phone on the counter,” Clarke said.

“Then he grabbed the lid and walked out, spilling the coffee on his clothes.”

Clarke said up to 16 items of clothing were left with coffee stains, prompting the business owner to file a police report.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted WA Police for comment.

The villains uploaded images of the incident to their TikTok and Instagram accounts.

The clips were flooded with thousands of commentators who were incredulous at the woman’s behavior.

“I’m so sorry this happened, I hope the staff is okay,” one person said.

“Disgusting,” another person wrote.

“It’s very embarrassing for an adult to act like a child in front of their child,” added a third.

‘This reminded me why I stopped working in retail. The working poor.’
