A woman who allegedly robbed Rep. Lauren Boebert’s teenage son claims the robbery left her without the money she needed for brain surgery.

The 33-year-old woman said she has a brain tumor and now cannot afford a necessary operation, according to a Feb. 27 arrest affidavit released after Tyler Boebert, 18, was arrested by the department. of Colorado Rifle Police.

“(The woman) reported (to police that) she has a brain tumor and now does not have the money to have surgery,” cops wrote in the affidavit, while Tyler faces more than 20 charges for the alleged incidents, which cops say . The woman’s driver’s license was also inside the stolen wallet, the arresting officer wrote, before revealing that the thieves returned it to her in the mail a few days after the alleged theft, which occurred on February 21.

The identification was returned with no sender information with a letter stating it was found “loose in the mail,” according to the affidavit, adding that the paper on which the note was scribbled was from a Colorado real estate company.

“Whoever returned it wrote a letter that said, ‘Loose mail found,'” the arresting officer wrote.

The thieves then attempted to use the brain tumor-stricken woman’s two Venmo cards at a nearby Kum & Go gas station, the document said, citing transaction records.

They also attempted to use their mother’s credit card, previously allegedly using the cash and cards stolen from the four cars to buy food at a nearby McDonald’s, although the banks soon began rejecting the charges.

They also attempted to order $717 worth of merchandise from Shein.com, the officer wrote, as well as $175 from Kum and Go and $10.95 from Starbucks.

The other woman’s car was a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, the affidavit revealed, along with the fact that Magistrate Jill McConaughy placed Tyler’s father on a $1,250 personal recognizance bond.

His next court date was set for April 11, as his mother issued a statement to DailyMail.com saying her son should face punishment if found guilty of his alleged misdeeds.

“I love my son Tyler, who has gone through very difficult public challenges for a young man and the issue of attention he did not ask for,” the 37-year-old wrote in an email, adding that her son was an “adult and father” and should “take responsibility” like anyone else.
