A woman who woke up on a romantic vacation with her husband with a major flaw in her fake tan has begged the internet for urgent beauty advice.
She was shocked to find that her ultra-dark self-tanner had developed into blemishes all over her left hand, just before heading off on a weekend trip to a spa.
A photo of her hand uploaded to Australian Facebook group Five Minute Mum shows the extent of her flaw, with dark streaks along her fingers exposing gaps of pale skin between them.
‘SOS. Oh my god, woke up like this .. I blew this royally, ”the woman wrote in the caption.

She said she’s been using fake tan for ‘for years’ and has no idea how she applied it so unevenly.
Does anyone know any tricks to fix this? I went away with my husband for a weekend in a jacuzzi suite and this isn’t sexy at all, ‘she added.
“It’s just this one hand, please help a sister!”
Her plight elicited dozens of sympathetic responses, with women sharing photos of their own striped hands, wrists and ankles in solidarity.
Some saw the funny side, with a woman asking, ‘Which tanner is that? At least it’s a great color lol. ‘

Others shared tips for blending the color to make it look more natural.
“A quarter cup of lemon juice, half a cup of salt and a scrub pad, then scrub scrub scrub,” wrote one woman.
A second suggested replacing sugar with salt and using coconut oil instead of lemon juice for a gentler solution on the skin.
“Shower, scrub and repeat,” said a third.
Even though I’m talking about past experiences, the hot tub will remove the color anyway. If you sit in it long enough, it will turn brown. ‘
