Wife of Prince Harry’s polo playing pal Nacho Figueras calls Meghan Markle her ‘sister’
The wife of Prince Harry’s friend Nacho Figueras has called Meghan Markle a ‘sister’ as she gushed over her ‘fellow polo wife’ in a torrent Instagram after.
Delfina, 41, has been married to Argentine boyfriend of the Duke of Sussexes, Ignacio Figueras (known as Nacho) since 2005, and attended the royal wedding with her husband in 2018.
Earlier this week, she shared a loving caption on social media about the Duchess, saying it was “so special” to spend time with the 40-year-old.
Nacho has played polo alongside Prince Harry, 37, in several matches over the years, including at the recent Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.

She posted a photo of the couple standing as they watched their husbands battle it out at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, writing, “M – looking forward to many more of these times with you and H.
“It was so special to spend these 2 months together. I wish everyone knew you for who you are.’
She continued, “My sister, my now fellow ‘pwife’ – you were a genius for thinking this up.
“Can’t wait to see you again soon, to share excitement, walks and just more chill time.”
The mum of four has been spotted regularly in recent months watching polo with the Duchess of Sussex in California
Delfina posted a gushing Instagram post about the royal on Instagram saying she ‘couldn’t wait to see her again’
Delfina added: ‘You have my respect too. Keep walking, steady and strong. Listen to your heart, it will guide you well, for you have a great one and it is a beautiful one.
‘I love you my darling.’
Delfina first met her husband Nacho during a polo match in Buenos Aires in 1997. They began dating in early 1998, welcomed their first son in 2000, and were married in December 2005.
The couple now have four children together: Hilario; Aurora; artemo; and Alba.
Described by Tatler as “the David Beckham of Polo,” Nacho now has a handicap of 6 goals and an estimated net worth of $30 million and has been modeling for Ralph Lauren since 2000.

He and Harry have played side by side in charity matches for the past decade, eventually becoming close friends.
Both Prince Harry and Nacho regularly play in Sentebale’s charity competitions to raise money for Sentebale, an organization co-founded by Prince Harry that supports children and young people living with HIV in southern Africa.
Speaking about his friendship with the royal family, Nacho told Town and Country magazine in 2019: “What I like most about him is how genuine he is and how serious he is about improving the lives of children who are not the have had blessings that we have. had.’
Nacho has been to Lesotho with Prince Harry three times, most recently opening the Mamohato Center together in 2015.

He said the charity, of which he is an ambassador, has remained “incredibly close to our hearts.”
He also revealed that Prince Harry was “the first to wake up” on their travels to Lesotho, and was always aware of the goings on.
Nacho said the Duke often pointed out things that needed repair, as well as asking for updates on equipment.
In addition to forming a special friendship with Prince Harry, the game of polo also brought him to his wife Delfina.
Shortly after the birth of his son Archie, Nacho praised him as a “great” parent and said he was “very, very happy” with fatherhood.

He said, ‘He seems to be very, very happy, so I’m really happy and excited for him.
“I’ve been saying this for a long time, he’s someone who loves children.
“I’ve seen him interact with children for a long time in all of these things that we do in Africa, so I’m not surprised he’s a great father.”
He is known as one of the most recognizable players in the world and has actively spoken out over the years defending Harry and Meghan.
The father of four is an ambassador for Sentebale, an organization founded by the prince that is committed to helping children and young people who or whose families suffer from HIV and AIDS in Lesotho.
During the interview, he also described Meghan as “unbelievable,” revealing how she “gave up everything for the man she loves.”
He also made a selection of six fragrances, including one called ‘Windsor’, which hinted at a ‘fraternity of kindred spirits’ with the Duke.
And earlier this week, he shared a post praising the Duke on Instagram, writing: ‘What a joy to see you smiling and being so happy. I love being your teammate.’
