Bayern Munich begin their 2023-24 Champions League campaign with a mouth-watering clash against Manchester United, but will be without Thomas Tuchel.
The Bundesliga giants come into the match with the Premier League side following a 2-2 draw at home to Bayer Leverkusen – with Harry Kane scoring for Tuchel’s side.
Munich will be looking to win their seventh Champions League title this season. Their last was in 2020 when they beat Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

Why won’t Tuchel be in the dugout?
Tuchel will serve one match when his Bayern side face Manchester United on Wednesday.
The German coach was sent to the stands during Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final in April.
Despite Joshua Kimmich’s penalty goal, Bayern were knocked out of the competition 4-1 on aggregate.
The former Chelsea manager was sent to the stands in the 85th minute by referee Clement Turpin after the German was left fuming following a foul by City defender Aymeric Laporte on Kingsley Coman.
Tuchel, who has been no stranger to dissent during his managerial career, had to be restrained by one of his assistants while he was angry with the referee and his team of assistants.
He continued to protest to the referee, who eventually sent Tuchel off – and was forced to watch the rest of the match from the stands.
The 50-year-old will be allowed to return to the bench in their second Champions League group game – an away game against Copenhagen.
