Why this adventure brand is causing a stir in Australia right now: “The jackets are revolutionary”

A UK-based adventure clothing company has broken into the Australian market by offering “innovative” snow gear and winter jackets.

Mountain Warehouse has moved into a physical store in Brisbane, Queensland, after “testing the waters” for seven years online.

The company sold more than 73,000 jackets in the UK last year.

They can now fulfill orders on the ground, which helps reduce shipping time and makes it easier to return items if they don’t fit.

This has proven to increase people’s trust in the market towards the brand and online orders have skyrocketed following this major change.

After hearing that the big UK brand had arrived in Australia, I decided to order their most popular jacket, the Alaskan.

It is a three-in-one number that comes in green, grey, black and blue.

It’s currently on sale for just $143. It has 150 reviews and a five-star rating and I can see why.

I’ve had a few three-in-ones from big brands and this was by far the best.

My only complaint is that the sizing seems small – next time I would go for a larger size.

The jacket is tested to minus 30°C and while I didn’t go anywhere that cold, I did test it on a windy -5°C night in the snow and remained comfortable the entire time.

The outer layer of the jacket can be removed to create two layers: one to keep you dry in heavy rain and the other to keep you warm.

And while it hasn’t been a particularly cold winter here in Sydney, it has been wet.

But at least when I was wearing the coat, I was remarkably dry.

I have another favorite jacket from a big brand, but it doesn’t seem to protect as well from the rain.

Noting the deal and the incredible price of $143, many of those I know also purchased the Isla II jacket and were equally delighted.

One is usually a size eight, but I bought a size larger on my recommendation and was delighted with the result.

The jacket, while not as long, is tested in even colder conditions, reaching -35°C in laboratory tests.

My friend took it on a trip to New Zealand in August and was delighted with its performance.

“It kept me warm while battling the freezing winds on the Tasman Glacier and the thumb holes gave my hands extra protection,” he said.

‘The hood is also large enough to effectively protect from the elements.’

Having lived abroad, I wasn’t entirely surprised that the jacket offering from a UK-based company competed with other similar pieces in my wardrobe.

I was surprised at how good the quality was, as even at full price of $359 it was $200-$400 cheaper than the industry leading designs.

Given the quality, I’d be willing to check out their wetsuits, which are also currently on sale with adult options starting at $89.

The retailer has also opened a store at Moorabbin Airport.
