Married At First Sight viewers have revealed the reasons they believe Richard Sauerman always wears scarves on the show.

The 62-year-old is seen wearing different colored scarves on the show and left fans shocked when he walked out of the bedroom wearing one paired with his pajamas on Wednesday’s episode.

A viewer shared a post on Facebook asking fans why they think Richard is always wearing the accessory.

‘It must have been a paid advert,’ suggested one, while another said: ‘Maybe he just has a constant cold throat?’

‘The scarf must hide the neck wrinkles and aging skin. True story,’ wrote a third.

‘He thinks he’s trendy,’ commented another, while one jokingly said: ‘It’s a permanent handkerchief to wipe your tears.’

Meanwhile, Richard’s bride Andrea Thompson had several explosive outbursts during Wednesday night’s Dinner Party episode.

The photographer, 51, was once head over heels for older groom Richard, but their relationship fizzled during a very heated row this week.

Her first blow-up with the motivational speaker happened earlier in the episode when they tried to discuss how to save their broken relationship.

But things quickly took a turn when Richard was unable to take Andrea’s criticism and learn from his past mistakes in their union.

‘Richie, you just keep choosing not to listen. I understand you’re frustrated,’ she tried to explain.

The Queensland native added: ‘Your body language now is sighing and panting and looking away. You don’t give me my chance to speak and speak my mind.’

‘My body language sighs and puffs? You’re gaslighting me,” Richard complained, setting his already frustrated bride in motion.

In a very aggressive and angry display, Andrea slammed her notebook hard against the table and shouted: ‘You’ve just done it again! You’re driving me crazy!’

Despite the visible overload of emotion, Richard did not give up, adding: ‘You blame me for things in your past relationships. You will not own that. I’m not that guy’.

At the height of her anger, Andrea snapped back that Richard was actually worse than her previous exes, who she has often claimed were toxic.

Hurt by her words, Richard seemed to end their relationship for good, telling Andrea: ‘I hope you find the man. It won’t be me.’
