Chance the Rapper did a victory dance after scoring four-chair singer Val T. Webb to complete his team on Tuesday’s episode of The Voice on NBC.

The 30-year-old trainer was particularly happy to bash John Legend, 45, who lobbied hard for Val to join his team.

“I can’t believe it,” Chance said. ‘I feel so bad for John. I am officially the four-chair king.’

Chance ran onto the stage and hugged Val T. Webb, who received a standing ovation and had all the coaches turn to her after her performance of Deborah Cox’s Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here.

Val, 43, of New Braunfels, Texas, embraced Chance, who performed an energetic dance after filling his team.

Before she made her choice, the coaches fought to get Val on their team.

“Val, I’m so happy for you because I see the joy on your face and some relief,” John said. ‘It’s very difficult to do this audition, but you just handled it with such poise and grace.’

Val said she sings background vocals professionally. She then brought out her son Joshua, who she said had been begging her for the past three years to go on the show.

“I want to show my kids that no matter where you are in your life, you should never stop chasing your dreams,” Val said. “Never look at your age. Don’t look at anything that can be a barrier to everyone else.’

John told her it would be a pleasure working with her.

“I think we can agree that this is something really special,” said Shay Mooney, 32, of Dan + Shay. “You have such a light.”

“You’re a star,” Dan Smyers, 36, said. “You’re no longer a backup singer.”

Chance told her he would love the opportunity to work with her.

“I think it’s so cool that you listen to your son too,” Chance said. ‘I really think we could make some special moments together.’

“I’ve been in the business a long time, and you just look like a beautiful woman who loves to sing to the Lord like I do, and we wanted to have fun together,” Reba McEntire, 68, said.

Val then announced that she chose Chance as her mentor.

“I chose Chance because I saw him in season 23,” Val said. ‘The way he helped shape and mold his artists was simply incredible and that’s what I look for in a coach. I’m looking for someone who can bring out all that creativity.’

Chance ran on stage and announced that his team was full.

“The hard part is over,” Chance said.

JoeWun Bee, 27, of Largo, Florida, took the stage next. He sang Over My Head (Cable Car) by Fray. He said he chose that song to show his resilience and shared that his family was homeless for a period of time. Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned around. Chance encouraged him to practice and come back.

Shay told him not to be frustrated.

Kyle Schuesler, 19, of Huntington Beach, Calif., wowed the coaches with his emotional version of Cold Play’s The Scientist. John immediately turned to him as Chance sang along. Dan + Shay and Reba hit their buzzers for him too.

“I love your voice,” Reba said. ‘It’s relaxing. It’s soothing. Your falsetto was really smooth.’

“It was just a great performance from start to finish,” said John.

John told him that his wife Chrissy Teigen, 38, also grew up in Huntington Beach, and Kyle said they went to the same high school.

“Sick performance,” Dan said. “I just love what you brought to the table.”

Shay said they would be good coaches for them. In the end, Kyle chose Dan + Shay.

“Kyle has put the cherry on top of our team,” Shay said.

“I grew up with a musician as a parent,” L. Rodgers said. ‘My father is a professional guitarist. He’s been playing in bands all my life.’

She said that she only recently learned that she was autistic.

“I see patterns in everything,” L. Rodgers said. ‘Since I found out, life has been so much better.’

Olivia Rubini’s performance of Linda Ronstadt’s song Long Long Time earned her the final spot on John’s team. She couldn’t believe it when John turned around.

Olivia, 24, from Wilmington, Delaware, was the final contestant in the Blind Auditions. She said her father was a music producer and she learned from him growing up.

“I think you’re a star,” Chance said.

“I wanted to buy your album today,” Shay said.
