Hispanic voters in seven key battleground states for the 2024 elections trust Donald Trump more to handle immigration than President Joe Biden.
While 38 percent of Hispanic voters in these swing states trust Biden to handle immigration, 41 percent of the same voting bloc trust Trump more.
Sixteen percent of voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin remain undecided. according to a survey published by Equis.
There has been a lot of talk about why Hispanics, who are often first-, second- or third-generation U.S. citizens, are upset about how the immigration system has become more lax in recent years.
Interviews with Hispanic and Latino voters reveal that they feel disenfranchised by Democrats who are trying to facilitate immigrants’ access to the country and their release without legal status.

Arturo Garino, who was previously mayor of Nogales, Arizona, told NBC News that opening borders is not the way to go.
“I don’t think this administration is doing what they’re doing right: letting all these people just give the impression,” Garino said.
“I’m a Democrat and I’m pretty pissed off.”
Biden campaign co-chairman Mitch Landrieu responded “I don’t know” when asked why he thinks the president is losing ground among Hispanic voters.
“Latino voters are just like everyone else,” Landrieu said in his Sunday interview with NBC host Peter Alexander. ‘They move from one space to another. “This is also seen among African American voters.”
Non-Hispanic voters in the seven swing states that were surveyed also favor Trump more in handling immigration than Biden.
Forty-nine percent of non-Hispanic voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin say they trust the former border hawk president, compared to 34 percent of those who say they trust him most Biden.
The survey shows that 14 percent are undecided.
Migration and the southern border crisis remain a top issue for voters ahead of November’s presidential election: Nearly 8 million have crossed illegally since Biden took office.
Nearly 8 million migrants have crossed the southern border since Biden took office in January 2021 and reversed most Trump-era policies from day one. He then spent the next three and a half years implementing looser policies that allowed more immigrants to cross.
Biden then issued an executive order earlier this month restricting the ability of migrants to seek asylum at the southern border once it reaches 2,500 per day.
Republicans called the order a desperate attempt by the Biden administration to score points on setbacks caused by the migrant crisis ahead of the November election.
