Australian men can't stop raving about a house

Australian men can’t stop talking about a “unique” home with an attached “man cave”, complete with nostalgic arcade games, beer on tap and a large mechanic’s workshop.

The beautiful property may seem like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s just a five-minute drive from Pakenham, a bustling suburb in Melbourne’s south-east.

The man cave was inspired by the truck owner’s childhood and he wanted to recreate a bit of the past in his backyard.

The bright red garage was transformed into ‘Wrighty’s Bar’ with two picnic-style tables out front, checkerboard tile floors and Americana-style posters covering the walls.

“It was a COVID project and took about a year to complete,” property manager and close friend of the owner, Tara Walters, told FEMAIL.

‘They were at home all the time and were feeling homesick when they decided to renovate the garage.

‘It’s now a football cave filled with memorabilia and games they grew up with, like Sega Rally and Daytona USA.’

The venue also includes another seating area where you can relax and watch TV, just like in a commercial sports bar.

“It was a lifelong dream to have a house like that, the man is always in his shed,” added property manager Luke Walters.

All of the signs in the man cave were custom made by the owner’s brother, a professional sign artist.

A special feature is also a functional mini traffic light installed outside the bathroom, which turns red when there is someone inside and green when the area is empty.
