The Masked Singer UK winner was revealed as Danny Jones during the series finale episode on Saturday.
McFly guitarist Danny, 37, was correctly guessed by panelist Davina McCall, but she didn’t believe it was him.
He told her: ‘You caught me but you didn’t believe it!’
Referring to Danny’s bandmates Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, guest panelist Rob Brydon told Danny: “If we’ve learned anything, it’s time to leave those losers and do it alone.” Those guys have been holding you back!’
On winning the show, Danny said: “It feels surreal.” Everything about this show and everything I just did is completely surreal! I’ve become Piranha and not Danny Jones anymore!’

On how difficult it was to keep his participation in this year’s competition a secret, Danny said: “Very difficult and even more so now that I’ve won.”
‘It’s been really difficult because I get excited very easily about things and I’m totally involved when I do something. I’m supposed to be on tour.
“It’s been very difficult, but that’s part of the fun, right?”
And as to whether the rest of McFly would be surprised to find out he was Piranha, he said: “I think the kids will be very surprised.” I’m my own worst enemy, so I’m always like, “That wasn’t very good,” so they always make me stronger.
“They will guess me right away.”
Before their performance, Piranha sang Lay Me Down by Sam Smith and Jonathan said: “I think it was the best performance, not only of this series but of any series.”
“That was extraordinarily good.”
It comes after Cricket was the first celebrity to reveal his identity in The Masked Singer UK final.

The celebrity panel consisting of Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and special guest panelist Rob Brydon correctly guessed that the individual was singer Lemar.
Upon deciding to participate in the show, Lemar said: ‘I’m a fan of the show. I like the show. I like the characters, I like the fun content.
‘Once I realized I could be creative and make whatever songs I wanted, I thought yeah, let’s get started!
“I didn’t think I would last this long (in the series) if I’m honest, maybe two or three weeks, but I made it to the final.”
Of acting as Cricket, he said: “It’s like an alter ego, you can go out and be funny.” You can interact with the children in the audience. I had a lot of fun doing that.
‘Luckily, singing wasn’t too difficult in the costume. It’s quite an experience to sing and play certain notes with something right in front of your face, so it was a challenge and the heat inside the costume was immense, but other than that it was a lot of fun!’
The contestants began the grand finale with a performance of By Your Side by Calvin Harris with Tom Grennan.
Cricket was the first celebrity to sing solo in the final of the ITV1 reality competition and performed Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles.
The Masked Singer UK’s Cricket identity was finally revealed when they finished in third place during Saturday’s grand final.
After weeks of speculation, the talented singer behind the mask turned out to be none other than Lemar Obika, 45, of the Academy of Fame.
Panelist Mo guessed that the singer behind the costume could be Lemar, and Rita and Jonathan agreed.
Bigfoot was the second contestant and sang The One And Only by Chesney Hawkes.
Mo guessed that the celebrity behind the mask could be The Last Leg’s Alex Brooker, and Ross and McCall agreed.
Bigfoot was later introduced as Alex, with the star smiling as she took off her huge mask and revealed that the news would be a huge shock to her daughters after her participation in the show was a surprise.
Judge Davina McCall, who also co-hosted The Jump with Alex in 2014, had already pieced together the clues and guessed her friend’s identity.
He said: ‘It was just the most fun. “I love the show, my daughters love this show, they have no idea.”
‘Girls, this is where Dad goes all the time, that’s why Dad sings in the car!’
Finishing runner-up, Alex said: ‘I can’t believe it! He hoped he could get through a show. I loved singing “You’re welcome” from Moana. I thought that, hopefully, that could help me get through a program.
The Masked Singer UK’s Bigfoot was introduced as Alex Brooker when he finished second during Saturday’s final, shortly before McFly’s Danny Jones was crowned champion.
The Last Leg star, 39, smiled as she removed her huge mask and revealed the news would come as a huge shock to her daughters after her participation in the show came as a surprise.
After that, I never in a million years thought I’d make it this far. Even in the final I thought I would be third. He’s been amazing.
‘Obviously, I realize I’m not a professional singer as you definitely heard, but I just wanted to have a good time and for the audience to have a good time, that’s why I chose the songs I did.
‘I love the show, my girls love the show. I wanted my daughters to have a good time watching me.’
On reaching the final with BRIT Award winner Lemar, who also played at Glastonbury, Alex said: “That’s absolutely crazy.” I’m really proud of myself.
‘When I watch the show, I know there are amazing singers in the previous series. It has been an absolute privilege.
‘I love this show, I love it! “Being a part of this this year is the best thing I’ve ever done on television, it’s incredible.”
Between performances, Doctor Who star David Tennant appeared via video to read a bedtime story loaded with clues about the celebrity’s identity.
The finalists were also joined by former contestants to perform duets during the show.
Judge Davina McCall, who also co-hosted The Jump with Alex in 2014, had already pieced together the clues and guessed her friend’s identity (pictured on The Jump).
Cricket performed Rewrite The Stars from The Greatest Showman with singer Charlotte Church, who had previously appeared on the show as Mushroom.
Bigfoot sang Lionel Richie’s Dancing On The Roof alongside Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, who was dressed as Phoenix.
The last duet was between Piranha and singer Natalie Appleton, who sang Believe by Cher dressed in her Fawn costume.
After this, Cricket was unmasked following a public vote and Piranha and Bigfoot were told that they would have to sing one last time in an attempt to win the competition.
