He added: “I am delighted for TJ and Narayan, they have been the most consistent team and the level of their work and experience has been the best.”

Following the news, viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, and called the pair “very talented” and “well-deserved winners.”

Writing: ‘The easiest winners ever! What talent!’: ‘Yes, my favourites won. My favourites from the first episode I saw them. What talent, such attention to detail. Well done Tanuj and Narayan’: ‘Love it, love it, love it!!! My winners from the start, big congratulations Tanuj and Narayan. Well deserved winners.’

Team captain Tanuj said: “The moment we heard our names announced, we all got very emotional, the whole room was a little teary-eyed.”

“Narayan and I cried, but they were tears of joy because we had worked so hard to achieve this. We were a little tired, but it was a moment of immense pride.”

He continued: “We had a sort of strategy where we would split the workload between us so that we could complete each challenge and I think that worked in our favour. So there was quite a bit of planning and I would say quite a bit more than we would do in our normal day-to-day work.

‘Narayan and I have worked together in several places as we work for the same hotel chain. We got along very well from the day we met, we always wanted to exchange ideas and we understood each other. We were good friends, but since this competition he has become more of a brother.

Before adding: “We brought the trophy back to the hotel, but of course we had to keep it hidden until tonight. It’s in prime location in the hotel lobby, the perfect place for everyone to see it!”

This comes after the massive net worth of the show’s host Liam Charles, who co-hosts comedian Ellie Taylor, was reportedly revealed.

The 26-year-old TV star is speculated to have a net worth ranging between £740,000 and £3.7 million, according to Buzzlearn.

The British presenter joined The Great British Bake Off in series 8 in 2017, and soon after became a presenter on Bake Off: The Professionals and a judge on Junior Bake Off.

On the show, he impressed judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith and reached the quarter-finals, finishing fifth.

From humble beginnings, the Hackney-born man was just a student at Goldsmiths University when he first joined the baking competition.

The host is completely immersed in his passion for cooking and has written two books, including Cheeky Treats: 70 Brilliant Bakes and Cakes and Second Helpings.

Following his time on Bake Off, Liam has worked as… Guardian food columnist.

Despite being extremely low-key about his personal life and primarily using his social media for baking-related stuff and funny content, Yahoo reported that he previously mentioned a girlfriend named Alexis in a now-deleted Instagram post.

This comes after host Liam Charles (L), who co-hosts the show with comedian Ellie Taylor (R), reportedly revealed his massive net worth.
