The Royal Box is the front row of Wimbledon in the fashion world, open to only the blue-blooded, the rich and the famous.

Today is the ninth day in Wimbledon, and with that came a particularly star-studded guest list, including politicians, actors and even a royal face.

Princess Michael of Kent, David Beckham, Richard Branson and Claire Foy were one of the famous faces scattered throughout the Royal Box, watching players including Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal go to court.

Serena Wiliams, who is currently one game away from equalizing the women's record for the most grand slam victories, today defeated Barbora Strýcová, amid a series of controversial games watched by the VIP crowd.

Earlier faces in the box included the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and the Middleton family.

Sir Richard Branson, who attended his daughter Holly today, said that the atmosphere of Wimbledon had the greatest appeal.

He admitted that Serena Williams is the only player he really recognizes today, and adds for her win: & # 39; The only player I know is Serena, so I'm looking forward to seeing her play – we wish there were English stars but maybe another year.

& # 39; I'm just looking forward to enjoying Wimbledon and its beauty and hopefully having some strawberries and cream. & # 39;

Dame Maggie Smith and Queen drummer Roger Taylor will also have the best picture of Williams' triumph over Czech player Barbora, from the Royal Box at Center Court on Thursday afternoon.

Model Jodie Kidd was seen on site with a salmon pink summer dress and shades, while Sir Cliff Richard returned for the third day in a row.
