Mercedes Corby, the sister of convicted drug dealer Schapelle, has become a real jet-setter since returning to Australia.
The 50-year-old mother of three quietly moved to the Gold Coast in 2016 after more than a decade of living in Bali to be closer to her sister following Schapelle’s release from prison in 2014.
Since moving in with her three children, Wayan, Nyeleigh and Nyoman, after separating from her Balinese husband, Mercedes has kept a relatively low profile.
However, her public Instagram page gives a glimpse of her enviable jet-setting lifestyle in recent years, with numerous interstate and overseas trips, as well as hotel stays costing upwards of $1,000 a night.
From lunches and dinners with friends to weekends in Sydney and Melbourne, plus cruises and trips abroad, Mercedes has embraced her life back Down Under.

Mercedes has always had a passion for travel and enjoys adventure activities such as paddleboarding and surfing, often spending time on the beach while abroad.
Mercedes’ most recent international getaway took her to Japan with her friend Celia Allard, and she shared a sneak peek of the trip with her 19,000 followers on Instagram.

Picture-perfect photos showed the couple taking in the sights of Tokyo’s bustling Shibuya and Harajuku districts as they made the most of the epic trip.
The trip also saw the couple head to the tranquil Shibu Onsen, a traditional hot spring town in Yamanouchi that boasts nine relaxing public baths.
Mercedes also shared photographs from her travels along the magnificent Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, a mountain sightseeing route between Tateyama, Toyama and Ōmachi, Nagano.
While there, the couple took in the views of the massive Kurobe Dam, which Mercedes said brought back memories of her first trip there 31 years earlier.
The couple also explored the sights of Mount Tateyama, one of Japan’s three sacred mountains along with Mount Fuji and Mount Haku.
Mercedes is certainly no stranger to luxurious holidays abroad and also enjoyed a wonderful cruise around Fiji with her children in March.
Documenting the trip, Mercedes was all smiles as she posed alongside her youngest son, Nyoman, on the deck of the cruise ship in a snap.
The doting mother beamed from ear to ear as she hugged her beloved son, who beamed for the camera.

In 2019, Mercedes also enjoyed a stunning trip to Rarotonga, the largest of the Cook Islands, where she happily posed with a mysterious unidentified man.
While there, Mercedes stayed at the luxurious Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas, which offers two-bedroom oceanfront villas from $1,048 per night.
She’s also enjoyed a more local holiday in New Zealand, showing off the stunning views from her epic trip on Instagram.
Although she left her life in Bali behind in 2016, Mercedes showed she still loves the Indonesian side when she returned for a visit in 2019.
Her beloved children accompanied her on the trip and she shared photos of herself enjoying stand-up paddleboarding with Wayan Jr. and Nyoman.
Mercedes also shared a photo of herself getting ready to surf at Toro Toro Reef as she got into the adventurous spirit.
Mercedes looked to be in her element as she posed in her wetsuit holding the surfboard she was about to ride.
Mercedes came to public attention shortly after her sister Schapelle was arrested in Bali, Indonesia, in October 2004, where 4.2kg of marijuana was found hidden in her surfboard.
She was often photographed visiting her sister, who was being held in Bali’s notorious Kerobokan prison.
Schapelle served nine years behind bars in Bali’s Kerobokan prison after being convicted in May 2005 of smuggling marijuana into Indonesia.
The former beauty student, now 47, was released on parole in February 2014 and deported to Australia in May 2017. She now works as a watchmaker and influencer.
Since Schapelle’s conditional release in 2014, the Corby sisters have kept a relatively low profile.
In March, Mercedes was back on the road, this time on a cruise to Fiji with her youngest son, Nyoman.
While there, Mercedes stayed at Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas. The tranquil resort offers two-bedroom oceanfront villas starting at $1,048 per night.

After previously living in Bali, Mercedes returned to Queensland’s Gold Coast in August 2016.
He then opened a tapas restaurant, but unfortunately it closed the following year.
Mercedes is a mother of three: she shares sons Wayan Jr. and Nyoman, and daughter Nyeleigh with ex-husband Wayan Widiartha.
After splitting from Widiartha in 2014, Mercedes is now reportedly dating someone new.
