The View’s Sunny Hostin is married to surgeon Dr. Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Hostin, who has been accused of medical fraud in a damning lawsuit.
Manny is among nearly 200 defendants named in one of the largest RICO cases ever brought in New York.
He and many of the others are accused of receiving kickbacks by performing surgeries and fraudulently billing a company that insures taxi companies and Uber and Lyft drivers.
“Hostin knowingly provided fraudulent medical and healthcare services, including arthroscopic surgeries,” the lawsuit, filed Dec. 17, states.
His lawyer Daniel Thwaites told DailyMail.com that his client “denies each and every allegation” and called the lawsuit a “broad, scattered and meritless lawsuit by a nearly bankrupt insurance company.”
Television host Sunny, who appears regularly on the ABC show alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navorro and Sara Haines, married her husband in 1998.
