A brazen white supremacist group has staged a racist event in one of Sydney’s wealthiest suburbs, leaving local families shocked and angry.
The far-right European Australian Movement group raised their flags in front of parents and their young children just after noon on Saturday in Hunter Park, Mosman, on Sydney’s north coast.
A local father told The Mosman Collective he watched in horror as the group, affiliated with the neo-Nazi Nationalist Socialist Network, openly saluted Hitler.

“Having this happen in a local park made me tremble with rage,” he said.
‘I feel unsafe now that I know that there have been or are people in our community who are capable of extreme violence.
“It is despicable, horrific and absolutely unforgivable to abuse little children who were in the park in this way.”
2GB radio host Ben Fordham weighed in on Tuesday and described the group as “fruitcakes and weirdos.”
The local Mosman also said there was a “weird dynamic” between five men and a woman dressed in black.
The group walked around a portable barbecue looking totally out of place and as if they didn’t know each other well, he said.
At one point, a man who turned out to be the group leader said, “Okay, we have to do this, let’s get this done.”
What happened next stunned the spectators. The group pulled out a neo-Nazi flag while the single woman of the group took photos.
The five men, all in black, were depicted holding a neo-Nazi flag saluting Nazis in Mosman’s Hunter Park. 2GB radio host Ben Fordham called the group ‘fruitcakes and weirdos’
The local man then remembers at least two men who brought the Sieg Heil salute to the camera.
A short time later, the group walked away and individual photos were taken.
A spokesman for the North Shore Police Area Command confirmed that the flag depicted is used by the European Australian Movement (EAM).
The EAM is led by Thomas Sewell and is a far-right neo-Nazi group.
Sewell is a self-proclaimed white supremacist and member of the National Socialist Network.
Most recently in April, he forced a Bavarian brewery in Docklands to throw a birthday party for Adolf Hitler.
In that incident, he held up a photo of Hitler while other members at the table gave the Nazi salute.
