A self-proclaimed coaching guru who has worked with some of the biggest names in Australian rules football has claimed he helped Roosters boss Trent Robinson see the future by taking him on an out-of-body spiritual experience.

Bradley Charles Stubbs wears three NRL premiership rings given to him after helping Robinson and former Souths coach Michael Maguire lead their teams to glory.

The so-called ‘coach whisperer’ – who charges up to $5,500 an hour for his mentoring skills – also worked with former Queensland coach Kevin Walters during the 2019 State of Origin series, and his Instagram is full of photos of him with big names like Wallabies legend David Campese and rugby league supremo Peter V’landys.

According to Stubbs, he and Robinson (pictured) got a glimpse of the future when they experienced astral travel, also known as astral projection.

He details his alleged mystical journey with Robinson in his new book, The Science of the Subconscious Mind, which he says “delves into the essence of human potential.”

Stubbs said he and the three-time premiership winner had experienced “astral travel”, also known as astral projection, which would allow people to separate their consciousness from their physical form and travel to across time and space.

“I took Sydney Roosters NRL head coach Trent Robinson on an astral trip before the Roosters-Broncos game in 2020, where I told him, and he saw a 50+ to nil win” , Stubbs wrote, according to an excerpt from the Sydney Morning Herald.

“The Roosters won 59 to nil. Do!’

According to Stubbs, he and Robinson experienced a state in which “your mind leaves the body and goes into the future, then returns to the body.”

“You see the result and you gain clarity and unwavering faith in your belief in the vision.”

Although the claimed out-of-body experience preceded a strong result for Robinson’s side in their round four victory over Brisbane, it did not appear to help the team win a third consecutive premiership this that year.

The Roosters finished fourth but were knocked out in the final thanks to defeats to Penrith and Canberra.

Stubbs also claimed that Souths co-owner Russell Crowe was excluded from the team’s dressing room while working with then-manager Michael Maguire when the club won the 2014 grand final.

The motivation expert even claimed Souths co-owner Russell Crowe (pictured at a match with fellow Hollywood stars Jeff Goldblum, second top right, and Chris Hemsworth, in white cap) was barred from the dressing room Bunnies in 2014.

He wrote that the Gladiator star was not sending the right messages to players ahead of the series finale.

“So I made sure that Russell Crowe, owner of South Sydney, although he was a Hollywood celebrity, would not come into the dressing room and speak to the players before the game and at half-time,” Stubbs said.

“He’s not an NRL coach, he had a ‘Gladiator’ speech prepared and would dilute the messages Michael was giving.”

Stubbs’ unconventional methods have raised eyebrows in football circles for years.

In 2019, Walters was lambasted by Queensland Rugby League president Bruce Hatcher for paying Stubbs for advice on how to win the Origin series without the board’s knowledge.

“I’m amazed that a guy thinks he’s so good that he can charge $5,500 an hour. It’s really crazy,” Hatcher said.

Stubbs (pictured with Socceroos coach Graham Arnold) was criticized when it was revealed he was charging up to $5500 an hour to help Kevin Walters coach Queensland.

“Kevvie (Walters) gets a budget and the QRL is very determined to stick to that budget. I would be surprised if Kevvie had spent that much money for an hour.

“Want to charge $5,000 an hour for advice that may or may not work. I don’t know any surgeons who charge this and save lives.

In preparation for games against NSW, Stubbs urged Maroons players not to talk about their NSW rivals under any circumstances.

Queensland players have been told they will be fined if they mention their opponents by name – with Maroons forward Jai Arrow unable to answer when reporters asked him what color his blue eyes were.

Stubbs also claimed he played a major role in Souths’ decisive premiership victory in 2014, the club’s first since 1971.

He said he challenged Bunnies coach Michael Maguire by telling him he would “cut off my left little finger” if the team did not win the grand final.

Stubbs also said he could predict game outcomes in advance, and even accurately predict when star players would suffer injuries that would force them out of games.
