Julian’s ‘one who got away’ finds Mr. Right

She may have fallen off our radar when she split from Sydney’s nightclub king. Julian Tobiasbut things have certainly worked out well for the model Charlotte Coquelin.

The French-born, formerly Australia-based beauty now lives in sunny Miami and recently married an incredibly rich sandwich entrepreneur.

She is also a mother and welcomed a baby girl in May last year.

Breaking the tradition of “marriage first, babies second,” Charlotte, 35, married her daughter’s father, a businessman. Pedro Rahalat a charming courthouse wedding in downtown Miami six months later in November.

Breaking the tradition of “marriage first, babies second,” Charlotte married her daughter’s father, businessman Peter Rahal, in a Miami courthouse wedding in November.

The union means Charlotte is practically set for life. Peter is worth an absolute fortune after selling his protein bar company RXBAR for $600 million.

It would be easy to assume that Julian would feel a little sad, as some members of Sydney’s hospitality group see Charlotte as “the one that got away.”

But we’re happy to report there’s no hard feelings.

In fact, the playboy owner of The Island floating beach club even congratulated her and Peter when their baby was born..

‘My goodness, congratulations guys, this is one lucky boy!’ he commented on his social networks.

Perhaps we shouldn’t have been so surprised by their post-separation goodwill. In 2021, Julian attended Australian Fashion Week to watch his ex walk the runway..

He filmed Charlotte walking the Carriageworks catwalk and captioned the clip on Instagram: “When your ex is all sex.” An enthusiastic endorsement.

Charlotte and Julian started dating in 2017 and adopted a puppy called Miso while living together during the Covid lockdown. It’s unclear when exactly they broke up.

Surprise delivery for ex-high society drug trafficker

Here at The Group Chat, we believe everyone deserves a second chance.

And that includes cashed-out property developers who ended up in jail for trying to smuggle $85 million worth of cocaine into Australia.

Who else could he be talking about but the so-called ‘high society drug dealer’? Matthew James Doyle?

We haven’t heard much from Matthew, 36, since he was quietly granted early release from prison early last year. But in a surprising twist, I was told that he and his devoted wife Kelsey Doyle35, welcomed a baby boy in December.

It looks like the pair wasted no time, ahem, reconnecting after their stint at the jingle.

The newcomer makes them a family of four, as Matthew and Kelsea also share another child, who was born before their arrest in 2019.

A baby is not the only news either. I have also heard that they moved from Burraneer, where they were living when Matthew was paroled, to a new residence in south Cronulla.

While they used to rub shoulders with Sydney’s elite and live a jet-setting lifestyle, I understand the Doyles prefer to keep things under the radar these days.

Matthew’s fall from grace began with his arrest in 2019 while waiting to collect what he thought was a shipment of up to 300kg of cocaine from a warehouse in Marrickville.

It turned out that undercover US police officers had learned of the rendition and their local counterparts intervened, ending the criminal enterprise.

He was sentenced to a minimum of five years in prison in 2020 after pleading guilty to commercial drug supply and handling the proceeds of crime.

An appeal to have his sentence reduced was dismissed by the court.

With time served in custody, Doyle was not due for release until September 4, 2024, but ended up being released months earlier than expected. I first reported on his release (with an ankle monitor and various parole conditions) in May.

It is unclear whether Matthew intends to resume his real estate career, but he has told friends that he will work for his family’s car detailing business in the meantime.

The Doyles married in a society wedding in 2018, but would spend much of their married life with Matthew behind bars.

Following his release, sources revealed that Matthew and Kelsea, a publicist who once worked for fashion brand Camilla and Marc, were hoping to revive their relationship and make up for lost time.

They certainly seem to have done so.

But Kelsea’s loyalty to her criminal ex-husband was never in doubt. She had always promised to support him and, during his imprisonment, kept a photo of the couple on their wedding day as her phone. lock screen.

And finally…guess who, don’t sue

Which Sydney identity is the social scene’s touchpoint for a good time?

The group chat hears that this socialite is selling cocaine on the side. Partygoers say it’s easy to connect and praise both the product and customer service.

But the side business may be short-lived as we hear cocaine is fast going out of fashion as Sydney’s powder of choice during the cost of living crisis.
