The hit drama One Day has left viewers swooning over its dreamy love story and beautiful locations.
A 14-episode adaptation of David Nicholls’ best-selling novel has been a hit for Netflix, with viewers hooked on will-they-won’t-they drama between two friends.
Ambika Mod, 27, plays Emma Morley in the 20-year love story, alongside white lotus actor Leo Woodall27.
Emma and Leo’s character, Dexter Mayhew, meet on July 15, 1988, the night of their Edinburgh University graduation. The next morning, they go their separate ways, but the novel and the television series catch up with them on the same day every year.
One Day spans the years of Em and Dex’s relationship and the various places they travel to as they fall in and out of love.

The couple’s starting point is in Edinburgh, so filming in the historic Scottish city was of great importance.
Edinburgh, Scotland
Em and Dex first meet at the University of Edinburgh’s 300-year-old Old College at their graduation night party.
After spending a night at Emma’s apartment on Rankeillor Street and a day walking around the city’s dormant volcano, Arthur’s Seat, a nervous Dexter runs up the Vennel stairs to find Emma and ask for her number.
According to Netflix behind the scenes Tudum On site, the One Day production team climbed to the top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park to film scenes.

Later in the series, Tilly’s post-wedding reception was filmed at Hatfield House, and Emma was also seen strolling down Lime Walk in West Garden.
The stately mansion has previously been used in Netflix’s Bridgerton, as well as its spin-off series Queen Charlotte.

He said: “We wanted to have this real sense of place and scale, but not be in any way obvious or cliché in terms of the places we went.”

In episode 4, Emma and Dexter go on a drama-filled vacation to Paros, where they made the decision to cancel their plans to island-hop around Greece and stay on the island.
Emma’s plans to keep things platonic are put to the test when the hotel assumes they are a couple and assigns them a room with a double bed.
This charming Greek destination is located in the heart of the Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea.
