We’ve put together a list of discounts educators can get with their teaching credentials so they can spend a little less time stressing over dry erase markers and a little more time stressing over the kid who learned to swear over the summer.

How to qualify
Retailers and service providers use various authentication methods to verify whether someone is eligible for teacher discounts. The website Pure identification Check the status of a teacher and have a huge list of available offers for teachers. The same is true for Identify meIf you are a homeschool teacher or childcare provider, you may still qualify for some of these offers and discounts. Check with the listed rewards provider for more information and details.

Apple’s education discount isn’t just for students. Teachers can also get about 10 percent off Apple hardware. The company typically beefs up deals in the fall, offering perks like a free pair of AirPods with the purchase of a MacBook or free Apple gift cards with the purchase of an iPad. In 2024, they have an offer for a $150 gift card plus savings on services like AppleCare+.
Dell is offering educators a 10 percent discount through the Educator Marketplace. Dell University Store It also offers various discounts to anyone with a .edu email address.
Sign up for HP education discounts by verifying your .edu email address. HP says eligible shoppers can get up to 40 percent off select products.
Lenovo changes its discounts regularly, but students and teachers can typically get 10 percent off. In the past, Lenovo has also offered bonuses, such as free Uber vouchers for spending a certain amount. Accounts are free and verified through ID Me.
Microsoft is offering up to 10 percent off a variety of products, including Surface devices and accessories. Parents, students, and teachers are welcome to participate.
Samsung’s program is aimed at students, parents and educators, who can get up to 30 percent off laptops, tablets, phones and other devices. Additional offers include discounted accessories with the purchase of select devices and a variety of bundle deals.
Classroom and school supplies offers
Verify your educator status through ID Me at checkout to receive 15 percent off your Happy Planner order. This company makes our favorite paper planners. Some are even designed Especially thinking about teachers.
Educators and school staff can get 20 percent off a qualifying online purchase through August 24. These discounts fluctuate from year to year, but there is usually some sort of special teacher savings event toward the end of summer. You’ll need to join Target Circle (that is free) to redeem the offer.
Show your teacher ID and this coupon to get 20% off your in-store purchase. This promotion expires September 14.
Educators can always get 15 percent off at Michaels. In addition to picking up the most common arts and crafts supplies, this could be a good way to get a small discount on items like baskets, plastic bins, desk accessories, and decor.
Educators can join this program to ensure they’ll always get the lowest possible price at Blick. In-store purchases are matched to online prices, with shipping and handling costs included. You’ll also get an additional 10 percent off your order total.
Teachers get 15 percent off at Joann. The discount card is valid in-store and online.
To get this discount, you have to go through some formalities: a letter on official letterhead is required and purchases must be made by check or credit card in the school’s name. But you can save between 10 and 20 percent.

Teachers can get 20 percent off in-store purchases at Books-A-Million by applying for the free Educator Discount Program. They’ll also get free shipping on their online orders, and there are additional savings during “educator events” throughout the year. You can apply for the card in-store or online.
Half Price Books is offering educators 10 percent off in-store purchases year-round. Please note that the discount does not apply to online purchases.
Meijer’s Teacher Appreciation Sale runs through September 7. Show your ID at the customer service counter and you can save on school supplies, home office items, kids’ clothing and more. There’s a huge list of eligible items. On this page.
Teachers receive a free subscription to Vooks, which are essentially animated educational storybooks with text to read.
Teachers can receive a free book valued at $7 or less when they purchase four or more books from ThriftBooks. Eligibility and registration is completed through Sheer ID.

Music teachers can get an 8 percent refund through the Sheet Music Plus refund program.
Eduporium’s educator discount program offers teachers up to 20 percent off. The marketplace offers STEM resources such as 3D printers, drones, coding tools, and robotic devices.
The website Wishlists for teachers Allows educators to create a wish list that can be fulfilled by random donors. If there are items you would like to have but don’t necessarily need, this tool can be a good resource. Kickstart your teaching is another popular teacher wish list aggregator.
Free resources for teachers
Some websites collect free resources, from worksheets to posters and fonts. Teachers pay teachers, Crayolaand Canvas for examples.
Software and services offerings
This is almost half the cost of a regular six-month Babbel subscription. Babbel is our favorite language learning app out of the many we’ve tested.
Eligible students, parents, and educators get 50 percent off the Ableton Live Intro, Standard, or Suite license, or they can apply the same percentage discount to Live along with Push. This software is especially appealing to music creators, though if you’ve been considering uploading some fun projects to SoundCloud, it might be worth a look, too. It’s the best DAW for DJs and live performers. You don’t need to be a music expert to take advantage of the offer. Check out our guide to learning music online for more tips.
Students and faculty can use a valid .edu email address to get free access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams. There are free alternatives to Microsoft Office products, but if you insist on writing essays in Word, this one is worth a try.
Adobe Creative Cloud includes more than 20 apps, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Lightroom, and more. You also get 100GB of cloud storage. It usually costs $55 a month, but students and educators can get it for $20 a month. After a year, the $20 price increases to $30, but that’s still a nice discount if you can’t access the necessary Adobe apps otherwise.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to check out this deal. This bundle includes licenses for Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and more. It’s designed for video and music creators and costs $200. Considering that Final Cut Pro sells for $300 on its own, this bundle is a worthwhile purchase if you plan on purchasing any of these software licenses individually.
Prezi offers a number of tools used to perfect digital presentations. It can integrate with Zoom and Google Meet, among other services. Prezi has two premium education plans for students and educators that cost $4 or $8 per month (regularly $7 or $19 per month, respectively).
Teachers can get up to $25 off select Verizon phone plans when they verify their eligibility through ID Me.
Educators can provide their employee ID to get a 25 percent discount on wireless services through AT&T.
Discounts on magazine and newspaper subscriptions
We are biased, but a year of printing and unlimited digital access to WITH WIRE It costs $5 a year for students and educators. Teachers can also save on subscriptions to The economist, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Bloomberg, The New York Times, The Washington Postand more. If there is a magazine or newspaper that you read frequently, you may be able to get a discount by subscribing.
